My Students

Preschool is fantastic! The children are full of energy and eager to explore. Located in rural North Carolina, our preschool serves children from ages 2 to 5 and prepares them for kindergarten. Our play-based center meets the needs of around 85 preschoolers. The children come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but all share a love for learning. We aim to enrich the lives of the children by offering different learning experiences. These children deserve the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and fun environment!

My Project

This outdoor area will provide the children a way to get outdoors. Preschoolers deserve a safe place to enjoy the sunshine and burn off energy. In order to reach the nearest playground we must cross a busy parking lot. Often times the playground is full and we must find other activities. The sandbox and patio set are needed to teach children social skills as well develop gross motor skills right outside my door. With these materials it would allow my children recess multiple times throughout the day. Outdoor settings are an essential part of Pre-K.
