This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 4 and 5 years old. They are eager to learn. They're so energetic! They're young and curious and love so much to be engaged in sensory and hands-on learning experiences. Most of them have never been in preschool or childcare before attending our Pre-K program and Miami Dade County Public Schools.

This Lakeshore light table and sensory tray will allow my students to explore using all of their senses!
Preschoolers have active imaginations and have a natural curiosity to all things around us. My biggest goal as a pre-k teacher is to encourage active learning within my classroom.
Every sensory activity helps children expand their vocabulary and acquire new language skills by describing what they see, hear, and touch. I will be using this table to explore letters and words with clear tiles. I will also be using it to retell stories using pictures, and other tactile materials and props.
