This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Why do we force students to sit in uncomfortable desks where they are confined by space and begrudgingly have to remain for the school day? When we want students to learn from and with peers how can they do this in too small and confining desks? Students need the freedom of comfort and collaboration. Students who struggle with ADHD need to move to learn. The learning environment should help ease these challenges. Providing the comfort, welcoming, environment that an alternative seating classroom offers will not only provide my kids with the tools for success but make them value the time they spend in my classroom that much more.
Students seem to learn best when they feel safe and comfortable, which is what we are aiming for.
The comfortable seating, the soft lighting and the portable lights will allow our students to engage and learn in the best possible environment.
