My Project
I have been teaching for 29 years and have witnessed too many students rocking back in their chairs as well as falling. Too many children complain about how uncomfortable they are and how hard it is for them to concentrate. Kids need to move. The rigidity of ordinary desk chairs makes this impossible. Our kids are extraordinary and they deserve an extraordinary chair!
Our students sit in chairs for the majority of their time in the classroom and our students are still in the same chairs that I had as a child.
I remember being uncomfortable, wiggling around and having trouble concentrating. Our kids need a chair that has them in mind. Kids are supposed to wiggle and move, not sit still for long periods of time. It's time to give them what they need so they are able to thrive in school, as well as enjoy their time in the classroom.
These chairs are designed for kids and move with them allowing their bodies to move the way they are meant to move as a growing and developing child. I want their school experience to be joyful and I want my classroom to put students first.
Our students have many different learning experiences in the classroom and these chairs will meet the needs of those experiences increasing creativity, engagement, concentration and health. Our bodies are not meant to sit in rigid chairs for long periods of time.
