My Project

The intention of this project is to provide the ability for vision impaired students to use our microscopes. Currently, our school has no ability to provide students with vision impairments the ability to see through a microscope. This lack of access is detrimental to students' education. Furthermore, we would also like a new scale that has a larger digital display to ensure accurate measurement that all students can see.

We are a small K-12 school district.

We try very hard to ensure that being in a rural community does not impact our students learning capabilities. I want to make sure that every student that attends our school has the same educational opportunities as their peers. Currently we have several students that are unable to use our microscopes and our scale because they cannot see due to vision impairments and I hope that this project will right this situation. Every student deserves to be able to use the equipment and view the world around them. Although the equipment would be in the high school science room, it would be accessible to every single teacher/student in the school. This means we would be able to provide a better learning experience for every student in our school.
