Help me give my students headphones, as an educator I believe it is my job to prepare our students for the world they will be living/working in and I teach through a blended learning approach.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income high poverty school district, my students are faced with several obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Many of my students have parents that work 2 or more jobs. I believe that having a positive relationship with each family is vital for a student to succeed. I love to see my students smile when they have successes, nothing else compares to that feeling. My students will change the world!
My Project
My students will leave my classroom knowing how to navigate a world that is heavily reliant on technology. As an educator I believe we need to prepare children for the world we are living in. I teach using a blended learning approach. My students need headphones for this to be effective. I lead small groups while other students are working on programs on the computer that are tailored to their instructional needs. These programs also provide me with data that will help me meet their needs. This last school year I was not able to provide a set of headphones to each student, which meant it was super loud in the classroom. Please help my students hear the lessons they are working on.
