My students love to build, create, and use critical thinking skills. These building kits, marble runs and magnetic blocks will be used in the classroom to help build their social-emotional skills along with exploring ideas to develop reasoning and problem-solving skills. Students will work in groups to brainstorm ideas, they will use communication skills with their peers to come up with different ideas and then to create a final project. These manipulatives will help students with fine motor skills which is especially important in a kindergarten classroom.
Some of these manipulatives are not only for building, but for reading and math lessons.
Students would use the alphabet robots and number bots to create a better understanding of numbers and letters. We learn letters and numbers all year but especially at the beginning of the year! These would be an awesome resource to create fun lessons surrounding letters and numbers.
I am super excited about this whole project. I know my students will love getting out their seat, getting creative, and using their critical thinking skills to work together to create some amazing projects.
