This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In our classroom, we have many students with hard home lives. Our classroom is a place of security and belonging for many. My kids are wonderful and put a smile on my face every single day, even the lousy days. They are funny, outgoing, and most of all caring. We are one big team of learners. They push themselves and their peers to work harder, speak kinder, and spread love. They inspire me to become a better teacher and person every day.

My Project

We are in need of new playground toys! Our toys have seen better days and have kept us happy and busy for many, many years. I would love to spruce up their playground and play with some new heavy duty toys. Our jump ropes are on their last limb and our hula hoops are cracked and broken. We would love some new balls for our basketball hoop and some cool construction vehicles for our sandbox. We would be so excited and thankful for some new toys! They say play is the work of children and we are ready to play!
