My Students

My students are an eager group of 25 kindergartners! They are little sponges and enjoy learning about nearly everything. My class is diverse with many different cultures, socioeconomic statuses, and abilities. Some of my students are academically and socially advanced while many need extra support to reach their potential.

Regardless of their background, my students love to learn, the arts, singing, learning by exploring, and playing & talking with each other.

It is my goal, as their teacher, to support every one of my students to reach their potential.

My Project

Kindergarten is all about learning how to be a part of a classroom community and learning important basic skills of which the rest of their learning will build upon. Working hands-on, learning in different ways, conversation & social skills, playing, becoming fluent in pre-reading & early math concepts, and learning basic computer skills are some of the ways we reach our goals in kindergarten. In order to accomplish this, I must have the ability to do centers, where students in differentiated groups and working at their level.

With headphones, my students can independently work at their level on learning games at the computers, while I am working with hands-on activities with another small group.

By splitting up the class, I am able to work closely with my students, teach at their level, and better support their needs.

These headphones will go right to work as students learn the basic computer skills while developing their math and reading fluency.
