Thanks to your donations, we were able to purchase a class set of the novel Wild Wings by Gill Lewis, which has opened up a world of learning and inspiration for our students.\r\n\r\nThe moment we introduced Wild Wings to the class, the excitement was palpable. This beautifully written novel not only captivates the imagination of our young readers but also teaches them important lessons about friendship, bravery, and the beauty of nature. By having a class set, every student has the opportunity to engage with the text, participate in discussions, and explore its themes in depth.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your generosity extends beyond just providing books. It has fostered a sense of community and collaboration among the students. They are eager to share their thoughts and insights during our reading sessions. This has not only enhanced their comprehension skills but has also encouraged them to express their opinions confidently.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, Wild Wings aligns perfectly with our curriculum, allowing us to incorporate lessons on wildlife conservation and empathy towards animals. Students are inspired to think critically about the environment and their role in protecting it. This knowledge empowers them to become advocates for change, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness in our future leaders.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our classroom into a vibrant learning environment. We believe that every child deserves access to quality literature that sparks their imagination and encourages a love of reading. Your contributions have made that possible, and we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and commitment to supporting education in our community. We look forward to sharing the progress and achievements of our students as they continue their journey with Wild Wings.","fullyFundedDate":1731255181356,"projectUrl":"project/flying-into-reading/8815235/","projectTitle":"Flying Into Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Collins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9257654"},{"teacherId":9552808,"projectId":9000340,"letterContent":"Thank you for our new books for our classroom! During whole group instruction, we use these books as read-alouds to foster listening skills, vocabulary development, and comprehension. While we work on an activity they watch a video that goes with the topic. Then we do a movement break that is related. They can also log in on their own Chromebooks and play a game.
