My Students

The world's most famous and popular language is music.~Psy Every child needs to be expressive. Music is used throughout the day in Pre-K, we sing during morning meeting, circle time, before we eat, walking in the hall, going to the bathroom, movement, and when we're going home. We're in music all day!

Our school is diverse, we have over 7 languages spoken by children in our classrooms.

Many cultures and traditions, but music always connects us. When you start singing, you light up their faces, they smile and try to sing along. They are active 4 year olds who love to bring music into their everyday activities. They love to shake, march, bang, and sing to celebrate their learning.

My Project

Music extends far more than just sound. Music is used to teach and build relationships. Children connect singing and playing musical instruments. We connect our lessons and our cultures through music. Music is used to teach songs about concepts and make it fun and memorable. It increases language development and literacy skills. Music teaches math through patterns, rhythms, counting. It increases physical development & fine motor skills through touch, play and in our movement. During our movement and circle time, children can dance and move by creating music to fuel the body for learning. These skills are lifelong assets needed to be fine tuned and harmonized in Pre-k.
