Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are so kind, so good to one another, and they are giving! Whatever they have, if there is another child in need they share with them. These are kids that have not had it easy. I used to think everyone got something for their birthday, a cake, a special dinner, or something they had been wishing for. This school has taught me this is not the case. These kids deserve a chance to play and be lighthearted. Sports keeps many children out of trouble later in life, but this all starts with the materials, in this case the balls. Sports take up considerable time, which reduces the time that a kid could get into trouble. It builds self-esteem and boost a child's confidence. Sports teach valuable life skills like discipline, teamwork, communication, and goal-setting, which can be beneficial in various aspects of life. Please help me make more of a difference in these kids lives. They are worth it!
