Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school with such excitement to learn. They come from low income families and many are ENL students. They are full of wonder and come to school with a desire to learn. Therefore the need for materials are crucial to their success as lifelong learners.
My students are creative and kind leaders in our school and in our community.
They use what they know and learn to help others. They deserve the necessary resources to express their creativity.
My Project
My students need to become creative leaders in our community. In order to foster this creativity they need the supplies necessary to create. For example, lots of crayons to start. They also need materials to use while creating in a fun way. The need newsprint and posterboards to display their work.
These craft materials will give my students a sense of pride as they create and then display their creations.
When a child has a sense of pride in what they do, they feel they can do anything. In turn they try new things and become very successful lif-long learners.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
