Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are some of the greatest humans out there! They are so hungry to learn and really enjoy challenging themselves. With that said, they need the classroom materials that allow them to use their creative outlets! Our students understand academic content, and now we need them to apply it.
We are a public school in Boston, MA.
We are in a dual-language school, so students are speaking, writing, and reading in both Spanish and English! Our students come from different cultures, mainly Hispanic. Our school fights for Latino empowerment, and showing all students how being biliterate will lead to a successful life.
My Project
Students will be using all of these materials for classroom projects. Anchor chart paper allows students to make charts, diagrams, note take, and summarize ideas to present to their classmates. Poster paper allows them to be creative and make final products for presenting! Our students need a printer that is in the classroom and is reliable to print out their writing pieces!
These materials will allow my students to fulfill their creative outlet and get away from the paper and pencil method.
Every child deserves to be creative, and the materials to do so!
