My Students

I have a class of 23 diverse kindergarteners in our school. The background of these students is from affluent to poverty level. I teach the kindergarten inclusion classroom at our school. We meet our students' needs by differentiating our instruction.

Our school is large with over 900 students Pre-K through fifth grade.

Our curriculum focuses on student inquiry-based learning with a global perspective. For this age, hands-on learning is essential. We just don't always have the material needed to enhance our students learning.

My Project

My students are struggling with distance learning. This is not something that kindergarteners do well with. I would like to give my students something to look forward to during the last week of kindergarten.

What better way to boost morale than a countdown to summer?

My students will receive bubbles, a beach ball, sunglasses, a water bottle, and a jump rope. The students will be given the countdown and use these items to share virtually with their peers.

With your help, my students will be able to face distance learning with a smile!
