My students need 3 motivational banners and 4 National Core Arts Standards Banners.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Brame's classroom raised $301

My Students
Motivational Banners are the worst. It's all the cliches that make them so incredibly lame. What if we could motivate theatre students to Create, Perform, Respond, and Connect in a totally non-cliche way? Let's do it!
We have 72% of students who receive free and reduced price lunch and many of our kids struggle with extreme poverty.
Our building was built in the early 60's and has not been updated since. The facilities are lacking many basic aspects of a functioning theater. Many Theater students specifically come to the performing arts as an outlet, a way of escape. Our program provides opportunities for students to be featured on stage and gives them a new way to confidently approach all of the challenges in their life. Let's inspire them with awesome banners!
My Project
We are trying to order 7 new banners for our classroom walls. These will be used in two ways. 3 are straight up motivational quotes about education. They read as follows "Every Student Creates Culture", "Every Student has the right to Interrogate the World", and "Truly Fulfilled Human Beings Inquire and Create Independently and Constructively without External Control." 4 are based on the National Core Arts Standards for Theatre and will be key to linking instruction in theatre across the curriculum.
The key to this project is that I am attempting to let the walls of the classroom become walls that teach.
If when a student is looking around the room their minds are challenged, this will allow them to be motivated and to become better learners.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
