It's challenging to both concentrate on the sound coming out of the instrument as well as all the details of how to actually make the sound and read the music. Recordings are absolutely essential in helping students not only hear their own progress, but also in giving them access to excellent examples via professional recordings.\r\n\r\nThe headphones you helped purchase are doing exactly that, giving my students the extra tools needed to be successful musicians. In my classes students have district provided iPads which we utilize to make recordings of what we are playing in class. Without headphones students have a hard time actually listening to their recording and assessing their own performance. Now that we have headphones my students are able to really listen to themselves and reflect on what they are hearing. Additionally I am able to give them listening examples that are specific to their own instrument so they can hear professionals. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity and your assistance in helping create the next generation of musicians. Without support like yours music programs such as mine would not be as successful and would struggle to continue.","fullyFundedDate":1746795661184,"projectUrl":"project/band-and-orchestra-headphones-for-record/9051221/","projectTitle":"Band and Orchestra Headphones for Recordings","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seago","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9640880"},{"teacherId":5979027,"projectId":9559487,"letterContent":"Thanks again for your generosity. This school year has started out very differently than I had planned. Due to the fire, we were displaced from our building for 5 weeks. During that time we were moved to 2 different locations, each with their own unique challenges. We were unable to access the building, however the secretary delivered some of my materials to my make-shift classroom. The students' eyes lit up when they saw boxes being delivered. Honestly, the deliveries couldn't have come at a better time. We finally distributed iPads, and luckily, I now had headphones for everyone in my class to use! Once word got out that I had feminine hygiene products, I had girls stopping by my room because they were in need. The snacks provided a little more motivation during our difficult situation.\r\n\r\nNow that we are back in our school, I can use the materials as i had originally attended. I have a corner in my room for any personal items that students might need. It is visited daily for a variety of needs. My students are still able to use their headphones every day to do both their individual reading and math practice. I was also able to provide snacks to one class who showed great perseverance during the week. They were honestly surprised, and said, \"Thank you!\" without being prompted. Again, thank you so much for making my classroom feel a little more like home for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1755731374186,"projectUrl":"project/successful-middle-schoolers/9559487/","projectTitle":"Successful Middle Schoolers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Irvin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5979027_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539558281715","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5979027"},{"teacherId":425931,"projectId":8614682,"letterContent":"This Spring has been a whirlwind in the Arrowhead Theatre Department. We have had our All School Play and worked on scenes and monologues in class. We had an amazing cast in our show but this project especially was a help to our Techies. The backstage crew for 12 Hangry Jurors was well equipped with spike tape and with our Gaffer tape for all our innovative connective needs. We were able to perfect the set and hold our floor mics in place perfectly. The tape was key to making our production successful and providing a lifelong memory to our students.
