My Project

I am a teacher of 8 wonderful special needs students of varying degrees of capabilities and struggles. During COVID-19, my students were not able to engage in art projects, a critical subject for them as it covers so many sensory and various motor skills. With online learning and families having limited art supplies, lots of the supplies I had in my classroom went home in small "kits" so parents had some resources.

Most of my students are non-verbal, and kinesthetic (hands-on) projects are key in helping them to express their emotions and ideas.

They are all artists inside, and art can help them express what they cannot say. Let's draw the little Picassos out through art!
