My Students

My students are unique individuals that are not afraid to tackle challenges. They persevere through many difficult concepts and give it 100% effort. They receive their ELA (English Language Arts) instruction from me and many of them vary in their ability to read and comprehend text. However, this does not prevent them from seeking strategies that best suits their ability to learn.

In addition, we have created a classroom that fosters learning for all students.

We support and encourage each other and always seek ways to make learning SUPER fun.

My Project

My primary goal this school year has been to help students recognize character development and help students to understand how characters respond to challenges in literature. The reasoning behind this rationale is to foster a love for reading!

Hatchet and The River will give my students an opportunity to witness how characters respond to swift challenges and how characters utilize critical thinking to solve major problems.

We will collectively discuss the books and write about them.

The opportunity to read these books will definitely have the students yearning for more to read! And that's exactly what I want to happen.
