This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, thoughtful, and eager to share their thinking, but our classroom tech is stuck in the past. We have a flat panel display, but without a way to wirelessly connect a tablet, it’s difficult for them to showcase their work to the class in real time. That’s where an Apple TV comes in

An Apple TV would allow students to show off their learning by mirroring the classroom tablet to the flat panel.

They can instantly display their math strategies for the class to see wherever they may be in the classroom. This supports both academic confidence and engagement, especially for students who may hesitate to raise their hands

Wireless sharing is also a game-changer for collaborative learning. When students can show their work to the whole group, we can analyze strategies, compare approaches, and have meaningful discussions about process and not just the final answer.

Why This Matters:

Many of my students are English learners or come from communities historically underrepresented in STEM fields. Visibility matters. Giving them a platform to share their thinking promotes equity and ownership. It helps them see themselves as capable, valued contributors in the classroom.
