Mr. Anderson from Wabash IN is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Let My Students MIG

My students need some new MIG welders. Currently, we have a broken MIG that may or may not be repairable. Smaller units like this one are also portable and easy to move around the shop!

My Students

My students are members of a rural school district. I have several of them who are very invested in helping to rebuild the Agricultural Education program and some who would like the option to do more. However, they would like to get more of their classmates involved

With this funding, we can resupply our ag shop.

Some students want to weld and work on small engines. Some want to be involved with Natural Resources. Some of them want to work with animals while others want to work with plants in the greenhouse!

My Project

We are requesting a MIG welder that will allow us to teach welding. With a good Lincoln Electric MIG, I can show students a welding technique that is used in many parts of the industry. While we currently have functioning ARC units a new MIG would be a much better way to go.

I have several students who would love to weld and get to work out in the shop but with the lack of equipment, I was unable to let them out there.

With this welder, it would allow me to show them a new skill. In turn, it might just inspire them to explore a career option they had not considered. For example I could teach students some basic welding and even do a project with them using the MIG welder. It is a great tool to introduce students to basic metal working and Ag. Mechanics.
