My Students
My classroom is made up of 18 bright and eager learners. Many of my students come from difficult family situations, yet they come to my room smiling and enthusiastic. We have built an amazing classroom community, one that we are very proud of. These kids have worked hard collaboratively this year to develop skills of perseverance, kindness, and teamwork.
I have artists, gymnasts, future teachers and possibly the future president!

My Project
Keeping a child's attention during school can be a daunting task. "Sitting still" is no longer an option for many students. Active sitting is based on the idea that it's not healthy for the body to be seated for long periods of time.
Adding wobble chairs increases strength, posture and muscle tone.
It helps with sensory input and energy burning. Kids can move and adjust themselves while still maintain focus and attention during the lesson.
These materials will make a huge difference in the quality of learning that takes place in the classroom. Kids will be able to better focus and there will be less distractions for everyone in the classroom. By receiving this many wobble chairs, more kids in my room will have the opportunity to use them when needed.
Less distraction and more focused learning, will lead to a more positive learning experience and will increase overall success in the classroom and set kids on a path for continued success!
