Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The wonderful thing about being a Physical Education teacher is that I get to interact with every student in my building. My students are full of energy, love to move, and are always eager to try new things. The pandemic has really decreased the amount of physical activity they have been able to participate in.

My Project

This equipment will allow my students to practice and develop foot skills without having to wait for a ball to become available or share share a ball during class time. My students get frustrated and discouraged when they are not able stay active during a class period. It is important for each student to be able to have their own piece of equipment so that I can maximize the amount of time that they are active and working towards mastery of a skill and it also keeps them motivated to keep trying.
