Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever tried to learn a new language? Did you ever try reading in just that new language and feel the thrill of actually understanding on your own? It's like cracking a code, or solving a mystery.
The students need variety in their exposure to Spanish.
Since there is limited time to prepare and find level appropriate materials, current magazines designed for students would be an excellent resource. The subscription also includes digital access to PDFs and audio files on the Scholastic website. These magazines incorporate cultural celebrations and events in Spanish speaking countries by teenagers.
What do Spanish speaking teens do in far off places? They can discover this in the pages of the monthly magazine.
