My Project

Dog Man and Captain Underpants, by Dav Pilkey are fun and engaging for students. These books in Spanish will keep my new bilingual students engaged and reading. They will also have commonality with students in the classroom. The dual language books help transfer language and build knowledge. Both these skills are needed to be successful in an unfamiliar environment. I want to build my Spanish speaking students up while helping them feel comfortable and successful.

My goal is to provide a rich and inviting library for all of my students.

We have had an influx of students in our district and expect it to grow next year. Having materials for all learners is key to a successful classroom.

Seeing growth in my students tells me that I am providing what they need. My bilingual students need more reading opportunities. I am creating a library that I can share with my 3rd grade team because all students need opportunity. All students are capable of success when provided with the tools they need. Help me provide those tools.
