This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a Special Education preschool class and we mainstream with a general education class. We are building our outdoor activities together in an area with a lot of asphalt.

There is one gorgeous tree that students want to hug and jump on all the time.

We would like to surround this tree with a garden to learn how things grow and also protect this tree from 36 preschoolers that can't get their hands and bodies off of it. We think planting a garden together would be fun and educational.
