My Students

I am starting a journey at a new school this school year, after being home with my own children for the last 2 years. I am so excited and passionate about being back in the classroom!

My students are so excited about learning, taking everything in like little sponges.

That’s why I adore first grade! My main goal this first grade school year is to instill and preserve a love for learning in my students! I want them to light up when they read, be excited to write, and realize how much fun math can be!

My students attend a high poverty school. Some of my students may not have the resources at home that they need to be successful at school. It is my job to make up for that and even out their playing field at school. Thank-you so much for your support!

My Project

My students are the hardest working students I know! We are not even halfway through the school year yet, and I am blown away by what they have already accomplished in reading, math, and all other subject areas.

Classroom transformations are not cheap or easy, but the joy and engagement that they will bring are worth it.

Help me reward my students for all of their hard work so far with a FUN FRIDAY classroom transformation. Don't worry. We will not just be playing all day. We will be learning while we glow.

Doing our writing lesson for the day on cardstock with highlighters may not seem like a big deal to some, but can you imagine how much more they will enjoy writing that day? We can add and subtract by bowling and playing ring toss with water bottles and glow sticks, just like with pencil and paper, but the engagement will be so much better! Thank you for your consideration.
