My Students

I teach in a 6:1:1 Autism classroom with students who excel when given a variety of opportunities to learn through and engage with the world around them.

My students love listening to stories, playing with sensory-friendly toys /equipment, and being a part of the classroom.

My goal is to give my students the tools and experiences that they need to succeed in life through academics and life skills-based learning.

My Project

Boardgames are a great way to get students to engage in social interactions with staff and peers.

Students will enjoy playing a variety of games with staff and peers as they learn how to take turns, share, follow directions and engage in conversations.

Students will also take part in a variety of activities to increase developmental skills such as fine motor activities, gross motor activities and language development.

The variety of games played will also increase math and literacy skills while they build on inner classroom relationships with staff and peers.
