This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love that my students come into my classroom and are ready to learn and grow. They each bring something extraordinary into the classroom. Some of my students are learning how to make meaning of what they read and some are learning their letters to get themselves ready to read.
Whatever their needs are, they all arrive with the attitude to do their best!
They want nothing more than to do well and be recognized for it. Every single one of them deserve to celebrate each and every accomplishment they make, and they do!
My Project
Several students are serviced in the resource room. In our classroom, we are in need of large dry-erase boards that are magnetic. The magnetic feature will allow the use of manipulatives that are also magnetic to be appropriately used and can easily stick to the dry-erase board. During lessons, students will also have the opportunity to handle manipulatives and use them in visual demonstrations. For example, it would aide in lessons that involve one-to -one correspondence. Also, it will benefit students in their ability to visualize charts to be hung that are created in our direct specialized instruction sessions. In addition, having the dry-erase boards will be an updated feature of our nurturing place of learning.
