This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of hardworking individuals who strive to achieve. They come to school knowing it will be a place to enrich their minds and their bodies. In school, they strive for knowledge and a love of literature, mathematics, science, engineering, technology, and the arts.
My students are hopeful and spirited towards learning.
They desire to learn and come to school for fun and enriched lessons. They love literature, enjoy reading, and they love science and the arts. They are creative and full of ideas to spark the curriculum. My students are in a STEM Magnet program that unfortunately lacks the technology to meet the demands of the high quality lessons created.
My Project
Teacher Pay Teachers is a site that creates lessons by teachers, for teachers. This site is a place where teachers find lessons that support standards based curriculum. Often district purchased curriculum is not engaging and very dry for our students.
These lessons created by teachers are focused on direct standards that are fun and engaging for students.
The appeal of the worksheets, the depth and higher level thinking resource are what students are quick to begin to use when learning about a specific standard in a content area. These gift cards will support my students because it will not limit the resource based on a price.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
