Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At the beginning of this school year, among all the energy and excitement, were fifth graders ready to read, write and explore. They were eager to find books that told stories about the troubles of being ten, and gave facts about the most interesting parts of our world. After a few weeks, these kiddos were starting to discover their favorite parts of literacy.

Your donation will go towards students deepening their love for literacy in our classroom.

There are many in our classroom who love history and sports. Several kids love graphic novels that show them an imaginary world to run away to. Even more students love to sit in a quiet spot - the lights dimmed, gentle music humming in the background - with a book that might begin their new favorite series or tell a tale that can forever change their perspective on life.

Many of these books on this list come from the recommendation of other amazing educators. Some of these books help us complete the puzzle of a mismatched book series. There are even a few books that were requested by students from our classroom! No matter where the idea for this donation list came from, each student will end up the same - learning to love to read because of the donation you make!
