This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a preschool teacher, I understand the importance of building a print rich environment for my young learners. As emergent readers, it’s important for students to be exposed to books and read aloud on a regular basis. That is why I have created a lending library program to provide family with low literature resources opportunities to read books at home with their students. Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to provide a book for all students to take home. That is why I am seeking your support to obtain more books for my classrooms to be used as part of our lending library.

Lending library programs allow students to take books home to read with their families.

It’s a great way of exposing student to new book experiences, which will build their interest in literacy.
