My Project

I am requesting a class set of headphones for my class. We use headphones every day for virtual assignments and virtual learning days when we have poor weather.

Due to our school's demographics, unfortunately the majority of my students were unable to bring headphones or even school supplies at the beginning of the year.

Those who had them, no longer have them due to the quality of headphones that were purchased. I purchased headphones last year, but those are all broken now as well. For this reason, I have requested a more quality headphone to ensure longevity.

My students use headphones daily for learning applications that build on each student's weaknesses in reading and math. Students also need headphones for testing during quarterly benchmarks to ensure progress is being made throughout the year and to identify those areas where more focus should be placed to help students get to where they need to be for the year and upcoming grade. A classroom full of audio with no headphones is difficult for concentration and focus for all students.

Students in my class are special due to our area. We frequently have tornados and have had our school damaged in the past. My students' homes have been damaged and even destroyed throughout the tornado season. Regardless of the difficult climate, my students find a way to be resilient.
