This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

What better intro to summer break than a good old fashioned lemonade stand? One of our last units in 3rd grade will be spent reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies. Students will complete a novel study and plan their very own lemonade war!

Students will work as a group to develop a marketing plan to see who can sell the most lemonade to the school.

Students will choose their own flavors/ingredients to incorporate in their lemonades to make them more desirable. Each group will create posters to advertise throughout the school and will create a commercial to show during the school wide morning meeting. All grades K, 1, 2, 4, and 5 will attend our lemonade war and use tickets to purchase one delicious cup of lemonade from the group of their choosing.
