This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Elephant and Piggie, Flat Stanley, Pete the Cat...my students love checking out these books to try out their new reading skills.
So it was devastating to lose this whole section of the library when a pipe burst one cold New England weekend.
My principal and I are committed to building a better library from the wreckage of the old one. Right now I am trying to keep the library going, but our early reader section was the most popular, and the only books left from this collection are the ones students had checked out when the flood hit. This project will help address this critical shortage.
