This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students and players is their passion, determination, and willingness to grow—both on and off the field. This will be my third season coaching, and every year I’m inspired by how many new girls come out eager to learn something new and be part of a team. They show up ready to work hard, support one another, and push themselves beyond their comfort zones. Providing resources like soccer balls, shin guards, and soccer socks will help create a safe and supportive environment where they can focus on learning and developing their skills. With enough soccer balls, each player can get more individual practice time, helping them build confidence with every touch. Shin guards ensure they can play aggressively without fear of injury, and soccer socks give them the comfort and unity that come from having proper gear. These items may seem small, but they play a huge role in helping each girl feel prepared, valued, and empowered to succeed throughout the season.
