My Project
My students absolutely adore LEGO sets and many take part in an after school LEGO club at our fabulous local public library. Not all of my students are able to attend, though, as family work obligations can make it difficult for them to have transportation as well as an adult to go with them.
Having LEGO sets for our school library would unleash a world of creativity for my students.
In addition to having them available to support STEAM activities they have so many other benefits. Students use their fine motor skills and have to work as a team. Creativity, problem-solving, longer attention spans and planning skills are all associated with LEGO use too.
