My Project

I would love to have these Lego sets to help my chemistry students learn the difficult concept of limiting reagents. The goal is to give each group 2 or 3 sets of legos but remove some critical pieces. For example, a group with 3 sets of legos will only be able to build 2 cars. From this, they will be able to identify what is limiting the production of 3 cars. We can then write a chemical equation, using Lego pieces as the chemicals. This lesson will adhere to the new Pennsylvania standards of a phenomena-based lesson.

I have a very ethnically and socioeconomically diverse group of students.

My chemistry students typically want to pursue careers in a field related to science. These students have a variety of career choices ranging from a trade to medical doctor.
