FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Parsh's classroom raised $283

My Students
A typical day in our classroom includes a lot of hard work and very little time for play.
My students are fun-loving 2nd graders who live in an urban area where many families have a low socioeconomic status.
Some of my students' families use all of their paychecks to pay their bills. Sometimes there is not money leftover to buy expensive toys like Lego's.
My Project
I am requesting 2 sets of LEGO Classic Large Brick Boxes and 4 sets of LEGO DUPLO baseplates. If we had Lego's for our classroom, then students would be able to experience something new. They would be able to use the Lego's to create and explore. Their play would be a part of their learning. Students could create the setting or the characters from novels. They could create buildings and measure them in math.
There are so many possibilities for students to use Lego's for play and learning.
Students in today's learning environment are expected to meet very high standards. To do this, they need to have hands-on materials that get their brains thinking. Donations to this project will increase students' opportunities for hands-on learning and thinking.
