My Students
I have been teaching for 11 years, and I still love going to work every morning. That's because every day, I see how I'm making a difference...whether big or small, I am making a difference. Since 2005, I've worked in an elementary school classroom where I have taught some of the nicest, brightest, most talented, best behaved, hardest working, funniest, students and all those in between. They have all helped me grow to become the teacher I am today--and I thank them daily. I have been blessed tremendously as a teacher.
My students come from many different backgrounds.
Not all students are offered the same learning experiences outside of school. As the new STEM teacher, I am trying to provide a number of hands on experiences that will influence a strong science, technology, engineering, and mathematics background. In order to do this, I need materials. The materials have proven to be very expensive, so I am asking for your help!
My Project
These LEGO kits will bring STEM to life in my classroom. My STEM classroom is a place that my students really enjoy-we do fun, interesting hands-on activities every day! Every material that is placed in my room is treated with love and care, and my students are thankful for the opportunities to learn. All of these LEGO kits have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school and feel that this will be the perfect addition to our STEM class. Students will be able to rotate through centers, create different characters, shapes, and animals, and have a wonderful time all while enriching their little minds.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase my student's academic achievement.
This is my first year teaching STEM and I want to make sure my students are provided all possible hands-on learning experiences. Students will be able to simply focus on the creativity of completing a building assignment, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Helping fund this project will put big smiles on many little faces.
