My Students
My classroom is filled with hardworking students, creative thinkers, and interested learners. The students in my class work hard every day and collaborate to share knowledge.
My class is very interactive and hands-on.
We like to move from one activity to the next. We build, explore, create and learn all day, every day. To maximize this type of learning,
organization, readily accessible materials, and flexible seating are key to success.
Organized materials in the classroom help my second graders in a variety of ways. As a teacher, I am able to individualize my instruction to meet the needs of the highest to lowest learner by allowing students to access the materials they need at any given time. The students are able to build, create, and learn easily and efficiently in a well stocked and organized classroom.

Writing interesting stories filled with characters and details is
difficult for a 2nd grader.
Building their stories first with Lego's gives them a concrete way to see their creative mind come to life before putting the words on the paper. Coming up with the words is often the hardest part. Forming a story in their mind and creating it with Lego's is a fun way to get them to start writing. I am hoping to set up an interactive writing station in my classroom where students can build their stories first with Lego's and then write it out on paper. I know my students will love this writing station.
