My Project
This project is designed for us to use table activities and speech language therapy during floor play. We work articulation skills (the way we say our sounds), expressive and receptive language skills (including use of language or social skills), and fluency skills (smoothness with which sounds, syllables, words and phrases are joined together).
Keeping children engaged as well as challenged during sessions can be challenging.
This activity will provide my students a way to work independently as well as collaboratively to LEGO designs while displaying creativity, following directions, and feeling like an engineer in the process. STEM challenges can be used to address a variety of speech therapy goals including: science vocabulary, sequencing, describing, answering and asking WH-questions. We would love to have these LEGO additions to our classroom.
