Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a STEM academy, our Kindergarteners are participants in the Code to the Future technology program, where LEGO sets are required as a precursor to robotics. By using LEGO bricks, students collaborate using bricks to create patterns. With these individual kits, students can design and construct buildings to create homes and towns. Students can also use the colored pieces as math manipulatives to help learn how to count, sort, add, and subtract. These LEGO sets will allow students to learn in ways they have never learned before!

All of these skills are imperative in preparation for success at school and in the work place for our 21st century learners!
