I am a lucky teacher of second-grade students. My students aim to please and are always interested in learning something new. They think best when given hands-on materials. Their curious nature makes so very special!
I find that it is very important to keep my students engaged and excited about learning.
The best way to do this is by providing them with hands-on materials and resources that focus on current events. This allows my students the opportunity to learn more about what is taking place in the world around them. In addition, it makes learning a lot more fun!
I am asking for three different LEGO sets for my curious second-grade students. Each set will build off of each other.
Giving students hands-on materials allows students the freedom and incentive to create something amazing.
These sets would be perfect to teach students about simple machines. Students could create each simple machine to show their understanding. In addition, students could also research a location around the world. Upon completing their research, students could create an image that represents an artifact from the place. These sets could be used as a get to know you activity. Students could create something that reflects something about an interest, hobby, or personality trait. There are endless opportunities with these Lego sets.
