This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and are eager to come to school to learn. They do not have access to STEAM materials. They love to build things and discover how things work. They work hard and strive to do their personal best each and every day, despite the hardships their families face.

My students live in an area where there is a lot of crime and violence, and they are bused into my school.

They have big dreams to make a difference in their lives.

My Project

Lego WeDo 2.0 will help my students broaden their knowledge of science. They will get to work hands-on while building different structures. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will help my students develop a love for science.

Our science materials are lacking when it comes to hands-on experiments.

With the Lego WeDo 2.0 set, kids will be able to build and discover a love for doing experiments. Students will be able to build different projects and learn how to work together with their peers. These projects will be used this school year and for years to come.
