Help me give my students a LEGO Community Starter set, a STEAM Park, a Sceneries set, and minifigures to build their curiosity, grow their imaginations, and make their stories and learning come alive.
We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.
Third grade students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them! Our school includes over 60% free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
Although this year may look a little different, whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are.
Our third grade is one big giant family. We don't get to mingle this year like we would in past years but we still find ways to stay connected to each other.
My Project
We have MakerSpace on Fridays throughout the school year. My students this year are loving the LEGO wall and the bins of LEGO bricks. Due to COVID-19 every student needs to have their own bin which makes sharing the LEGO toys hard. I would to provide more LEGO sets, so more students can utilize this station.
LEGO bricks are the universal tool of creativity and adventure.
They take little teaching to use and can meet a variety of educational needs and enjoyment at the same time.
I would like to use LEGO sets for stop-motion storytelling and green screen creation with my reading groups. I would also like to use LEGO bricks for different math lessons. The more engaging lessons can become, the more involved students will be.
Thanks for investing in my classroom and my students!
