Many of our students come from shelters and single-parent homes, therefore, they're lacking supplies for school. However, they come excited to learn every single day. It's difficult to facilitate a good lesson without the much-needed supplies that would make learning fun for our students however, many can't afford it from home. Any aid will be beneficial and a welcome change for our students who come ready to learn each day despite their needs and deficiencies. If you’re able to, please reach out to our students!
My Project
The material that I am requesting for my students will serve as a motivation to complete their given task in class. Many of the students hand in incomplete assignments, if I can have a LEGO station for the students who are able to complete their tasks it will help motivate them to complete more assignments and perform better in class. Research has shown that Legos promotes fine motor skills. Legos encourages team work. Legos improves creativity. Legos develops problem solving and mathematical thinking. Legos improves communication skills. Legos develops persistence. Legos improves self-esteem. Legos develop lateral thinking and planning skills. My students will benefit from all these skills if you donate to this project. Thank you!
