My kindergarten classroom is a place of challenge and discovery. My students spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they move forward in their educational career.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
They are growing and learning in a school community that embraces diversity and welcomes all learners. We learn in a Title I school with students from many different cultures and backgrounds. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while nurturing their love for learning, STEM, math, and reading. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence and success.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by giving them opportunities to engage in STEM challenges and missions. The LEGO building blocks, building plates, LEGO community starter kit, WeDo 2.0 and WeDo Add-on Power Packs are engaging materials that my students can use to complete STEM activities and build their engineering, math, and science skills. The presentation boards will allow my students to showcase their projects and communicate their ideas to their peers.
My students love to engage in projects that utilize their critical and creative thinking skills, and these materials will allow them to do just that!
