This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and grow as learners! They come from diverse family backgrounds. Many live in poverty or in single-parent homes. They come to school to not only learn the core subjects, but also to learn social, emotional, and behavior lessons.

My students love to explore and investigate new ideas across the curriculum.

They love technology and working on hands-on activities. Manipulatives, games, and technology are the best methods of helping myself students learn. When they engage with a lesson physically, they take ownership of their learning and retain the ideas we discuss.

My Project

My students need hands-on 21st century learning opportunities. Having LEGO robots to work with and problem-solve with would allow my students to use their critical thinking and teamwork skills to grow as learners. They love to work in groups and use technology. LEGO robots would combine their interacts with their needs as 21st century learners. They would not only be able to work with their classmates building their communication skills and teamwork skills, but also develop their problem solving skills and critical thinking skills. LEGO robots would create a unique and exciting environment for my fourth and fifth grade students to learn with!
