This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to build and display Lego sets around the library. The variety of different sets conveys to students and visitors how our students are diverse in many ways. Now students are ready to apply their engineer skills to more advanced, custom, project based, hands-on activities.
Students are going to create a display that illustrates how all people are welcomed and embraced in our schools, through the use of flat LEGO Art kits that incorporate diverse Minifigures.
The display cases, picture Lego sets and minifigures will provide students with supplies to needed to create pixelated art that incorporate themes of representation of diversity and inclusion.
